Dave's Solo Tours

The First Outing - April and May, 1997

While he'd planned to tour in the early 1980s to support his solo albums, it never happened, largely due to scheduling conflicts with Kinks projects.

In 1997, he ran two brief tours. The first, in April and May, consisted of the following shows in support of the original (hardcover) edition of his autobiography, Kink:

The Second Tour - November and December, 1997

Dave's second tour was a run through the Midwest, then back East, with the following shows:

Third Time Out - The East Coast in May and June, 1998

In June and July, 1999, Dave and his band went on their most ambitious tour to date, from Oklahoma City, through the South, up the East Coast and to Ohio and Missouri over a four week stretch.

"The Cabin Fever Tour" - April, 2000

In late April, 2000, Dave and company played shows in San Francisco and in Reno, Nevada on consecutive nights. These shows were very well received.

"Ravens in the Sun" - August, 2000

On August 12, Dave completed a nine show tour of the Northeast US. The line-up for this tour was Kristian Hoffman (keyboards), Dave Jenkins (bass), Jim LaSpesa (drums and vocals), Jonathan Lea (rhythm guitar and harmonica) and Pete Magdaleno (soundboard). The Glendale show was the Transformation benefit show for Soroptimist of the Verdugos, which was recorded and was released on CD on August 6.

2004 dates announced

2004 started out with plans for a fairly heavy schedule, but these plans, including a Summer West Coast tour, were canceled due to Dave's health problems. Autumn East Coast and West Coast tours were planned, but were understandably canceled to facilitate Dave's recuperation.
